The fact that it is heavier than a feather, for me, is a positive. It is sturdy and durable, and it shows that it will not easily warp. Of course, it has nothing to do with the cast iron that actually has weight.
Moreover, if wooden or plastic tools are used, there is no worry about scratching.

It requires a lot of attention. Personally, I use metal utensils for cooking and I am quite careful, but I have noticed scratches. I believe with enough care, it will last for many years. I consider it a very good budget choice for cooking!
