In the work "The Public Service", the basic elements of the organization and functioning of the public service and its contemporary manifestations are analyzed.

The monograph includes the teaching and research of the years 2013-2014 and 2014-2015, utilizing the past of public law and public service in an effort to highlight the dangers that nurture their future.

The concept of public service is approached interpretively, the principle of continuity of its operation, the principle of equality in the operation of the public service, and the contemporary crisis of the public service as a symptom of the weakening of public law.

The public service was and remains - and probably always will be - a fundamental "dimension" of public law, given that the public service constitutes, in terms of organization and functioning, the basic "unit" of the State. Therefore, the deep and multifaceted socio-economic crisis, which directly affects the structure and functioning of the State and the legal order, also has a direct impact on the public service. And both in terms of the constituent elements of the public service, and in terms of its fundamental principles of operation, namely the principle of continuity of the operation of the public service and the principle of equality in its operation.
