We had been planning to buy a steam cleaner for a while. Specifically, we were considering a Karcher steam cleaner as we trust the company. Our friends have the SC 4 model and they told us great things about it. We ended up choosing the SC 3 Easy Fix. We were just hesitant about the extra 50 euros. Well, YESTERDAY I CLEANED THE AWNING. YES, THE AWNING! IT LOOKS ALMOST LIKE NEW. I plan to give it another go in 10 days (maybe an hour) and it will be even more like new. My wife is thrilled with the bathroom, tiles, kitchen, floors, and DISINFECTING the bags from the supermarket now with the pandemic. Overall, DISINFECTION of everything as steam kills Covid19. In a few days, I will clean the car wheels, they have accumulated dust from the brake pads. Dust doesn't come off with regular cleaners. Based on what I saw with the awning, I understand that there won't be any issues with the wheels and they will simply shine. Next in line are the interior plastics and car mats, NO DOUBT. The purchase of the SC3 Easy Fix is recommended for homeowners and car owners who want to make their daily lives easier. The accessories in the package are more than enough. The pressure is fine. The first time it takes a few minutes (2-4;;;;) for the water to heat up. If you need to refill water, there is a notification and you can do it while using it. When you refill water, it is ready in a few seconds, you don't have to wait for it to heat up again. Simple and easy.
*I'm back. It didn't clean the car wheels well. However, it made the interior of the car look brand new, meaning the plastics, carpets, and leather. They were cleaned so well that their original color was restored.
First of all, it does not clean tough dirt like salts in the bathroom, it releases a lot of water. It does not say anywhere in the instructions that if the water in your area is very hard, you need to use bottled or distilled water, resulting in me spending 20 euros for descaling and a filter as soon as I bought it. This happened after 3 uses. In a month, the external rubber covering the steam cable was cut due to the excessive heat it generates, without me pulling it. I followed all the instructions in the user manual, but I am not satisfied with the purchase considering the amount of money I spent. And the worst part is that when I went to the Company to report the problems, they did not take any responsibility, as usual! Also, they told me over the phone that I have to empty the water when I finish, but it does not say anywhere in the manual. It also does not mention before ordering that this steam cleaner is in liquid form and is not suitable for carpets and fabrics!
Waste of money. After 5-6 times of household use within 14 months, the pump burned out. Due to the fact that I had a receipt and not a retail receipt, the warranty was only for one year instead of the advertised two. The cost of repair was €78! Of course, it went for recycling.
So I have had the machine for a year. With almost daily use. It is mostly for sterilization and not for cleaning. Yes, water does drip. Until it heats up well. The steam pressure is not like that of a steam iron, let's say. But it does the job. With the small attachments, for example, steam got into the crevices of the bathroom faucets that no brush can reach and cleaned them from the inside, let's say. Don't think that you can just pass over the floor and the grout will be cleaned... Only with rubbing 1-1 with the small brush maybe... As I said, for sterilization. I clean and then pass the steam over, on leather sofas with a cloth, on carpets, floors, bathroom, walls, mattresses, etc. On carpets, for example, I spread some carpet cleaner and then steam over it... By the time it dries, it is clean.
As for the very negative aspects, the short cord and the fact that if it turns to the side, the water spills from the container...
I start with the rating, I gave it a 3 because I haven't drawn my conclusions yet. I have had it for a year, with minimal use, I took it to the service because it wasn't producing steam. The reason I bought it was purely because of the Karcher name, as I had heard good things about it. Now, no matter how big the company's name is, there is a chance of getting a defective product. What the consumer needs to be aware of is that in case the machine is out of warranty, the cost for its repair is 80 euros. I imagine that after the repair, it might be better to buy a new one or one from a different brand.
As for the positives, I will mention the good construction, the parts fit well together. At first, it does release some water, but overall the steam comes out in about 30 seconds. The steam gives you the assurance that it cleans the floor, but you definitely need to go over it several times.
As for the negatives, the cable is one of the worst I have encountered in a device. It gets tangled and needs to be untangled every time.
I will come back after the machine is repaired, to see when it will have a problem again and if those 130 euros I paid were worth it.
This specific steam cleaner has been used at least 20 times in the year and a half that I have been using it.
February 15, 2023. I received it from the service, luckily it was still under warranty. The company gives you 6 months from the moment you leave the service (even the company employees didn't know this). The damage was in the pump, where in case it was out of warranty, I would have to pay 80-90 euros. I don't know if I was unlucky and got a defective machine, but if it is going to break so quickly with just a few hours of use, then maybe you should look elsewhere.
I have the Karcher sc3 steam cleaner for almost six years, it hasn't had any issues at all. It is a very good machine, I clean everything from carpets, closets, doors, windows, frames to car seats, sofas, bathrooms... everything!! Flawless machine, worth its money
It was purchased 3 months ago and is actually used in two houses, as the previous one, the smaller model SC 2 from Karcher that I had (I would describe it as mediocre overall, as one fine morning the water inlet cap broke and it was not worth fixing), and I would also rate it as very mediocre... because I followed its instructions to the letter and it was not used as much even in this short period of time as my new SC 3. This steam cleaner has been a lifesaver for me, it is flexible and effective, essentially sterilizing everything thoroughly, and I would buy it again!
After 4 years of use, I only have positive things to say. The model I have is the basic one (without easy fix), which I searched a lot to find because the easy fix version was already released and the basic one was discontinued. The difference is in the point where the cloth attaches. The basic one is superior because instead of relying on KARCHER's cloths, you can use any microfiber cloth you want from the supermarket, often at a lower cost! This specific cloth may be sold separately.
Now let's talk about the usage... you forget about scrubbing, it cleans bathrooms, carpets, everything! Of course, it requires a habit in usage that no one seems to have mentioned! You don't move the mop like you're scrubbing with fast movements, but with slower ones so that it effectively cleans the surface it passes over. In the 4 years, it hasn't damaged any carpet, marble, or tile, and I'm surprised by what I'm reading here. Another characteristic that one should pay attention to is that it always releases a little water in the beginning, so you just need to be a bit more careful and keep it in mind, it's not a problem. I'm thinking of getting the SC1 now for the car!
I have had it for over a year. Its positive aspect: it leaves you with a clean and bright appearance! Cabinets, corners, radiators, tiles... It dries quickly in the winter. One downside to this is that it produces quite a lot of moisture. Therefore, I did not find the glass attachment that I bought very useful, as it leaves streaks on the windows. However, even though I had the carpet attachment unused for a year for the same reason, it eventually does a good job without leaving them wet! It performs exceptionally well on mattresses and cars! I cleaned a very important embroidery on hard paper, and it became new again. So, the water it produces is of medium weight.
The most serious drawback for me is that the cable leading to the steam cleaner from the handle gets tangled incredibly. You have to be careful...
Also, when using the sponge, the left hand should wear gloves. I do not know if very hot water damages the floor tiles. Also, because the steam is more moist, be careful: I have burned my hands a few times. Definitely wear gloves when lifting the hose for cleaning high areas and keep your face at a distance (for walls, curtain rods, etc.)
If it remains unused for a long time, it "spits out" the descaler. So, every now and then, in a week or two, do something about it...
My experience so far is good, but don't expect it to clean everything. I think it is better for refreshing carpets, curtains, etc

Very satisfied with this particular machine! It is perhaps the only one that is ready for use in 30-40 seconds from off or stand by! You forget about "turning on the steam cleaner and having a cup of espresso until it heats up" that you have with other machines. You press ON and by the time you grab the handle and bring it to where you want to clean, it is ready with full pressure!
The water tank does not have a lid, so you simply fill it with water as soon as it empties or even before it empties or even while you are using it! Essentially, you don't stop cleaning!
I mainly use it for medical gowns/clothes in the midst of the Covid pandemic. It also includes a water filter, so we use tap water without any problem.
We bought the sc3 easy fix in the spring of 2020 for sterilizing rented rooms for everything (mattresses, wall & countertop surfaces, bathroom, glass doors, pillows, etc.) with daily use. In the winter, we used it for our house where I cleaned the joints on the 30-year-old tiles....and we remembered the original color of the joints! It softens tough dirt and then we clean normally. We cleaned my daughter's car, which has 2 small children (chocolates, mud, milk, etc. on the seats), and it became like new! An excellent machine as long as you use it correctly: When you want sterilization, you clean first normally and then pass with the machine. When there is heavy dirt, you soften it first with the machine and then clean normally.
Do not buy this one, the pump burned out in the first month I bought it, luckily they replaced it under warranty, but it broke again in the third year of operation. The repair costs 90€ and it's not worth it, so you throw it away!
Purchased in October, worked for two weeks, softened and cleaned perfectly, with some scrubbing from me, dirt from joints, floors, and bathroom. It didn't help with the fabric of the couch, it softens the stain but it doesn't come out with just scrubbing, I bought fabric cleaning foam to make it shine, unless the stain is "fresh". Very good for sterilization. However, after only 2 weeks and 3-4 uses, the indicator started flashing indicating that it needs water even though I had just filled it. The next day, the same thing happened and the steam pressure gradually decreased until it completely stopped. It no longer produced any steam. I contacted Karcher in Athens and they referred me to a local service center, I sent it there, they replaced the water pump, but I had to wait for a month for the replacement part to arrive. It worked perfectly on the first day and the next day it had the same issues. I contacted the main customer service again, they referred me to the local service center, and they told me to try a few moves to see if it would unblock, but it didn't work and they told me that they are not sure if they can fix it and that it might not have the same problem again. I got frustrated and took it to a service center in Athens, where a gentleman directed me for several minutes in an attempt to reset it, but it didn't work, there was no steam at all, and he informed me that it would definitely have to be sent to the service center again and I might have to wait for another month. And I asked them, is it possible for a brand new machine, from a company like Karcher and priced at €200 with accessories, to constantly have problems and for me not to be able to figure out why it broke the next day after the service? Don't they check the whole machine to eliminate any kind of problem? I declare myself disappointed with a machine that I was excited about when I first bought it.
Tomorrow they will send it to the service center and I will inform you when I receive it.
Update 2/2/2021 Due to the lockdown, the store where I bought it says they cannot take it and send it to Karcher's service center. They say you can only buy a product, but not send the one you have already purchased. The problem is that if I send it directly to Karcher, I will have to pay for the shipping back and forth because it is not covered by the warranty. So far, the purchase of €200+ has been in vain, without being able to use it for 5 months!
Update 24/2/2021 After several phone calls and complaints that I expressed to the company, they agreed to send a courier to pick up the steam cleaner and take it to their authorized partner that I chose, as I explained to them that the second time it had a problem was the very next day after I received it from their partner, and after waiting for a month, which means that something was not done correctly in the service or something was not checked in the service.
So they sent it to the Karcher Premier Center in Athens, where I had already spoken to Mr. K.T. (very polite and explained many things about the operation of the machine), they found that the cable inside the spiral had gotten tangled, but not due to my fault as they emphasized, they replaced it and returned it to me quickly. So far, everything is fine and I hope it continues this way, as I chose the SC3 firstly because it heats up quickly, and secondly because it has a cartridge where you put the water instead of a screw-on lid like other models. Personally, I am afraid of screw-on lids, especially after the incident with an Ari**e steam cleaner that exploded and burned a woman's leg, luckily her baby was in another room. One piece of advice that the service department told me when I commented on the incident was not to leave the devices plugged in when we finish using them. Those of you who have voltage issues should use surge protection sockets. Finally, Karcher has a name and reliability no matter how you look at it, especially with such devices. It is not about resorting to cheap solutions of questionable quality, but at least we give so much money and we also expect not to constantly run for service.
Very good product, I bought it for the car for cleaning but it turns out it's good for everything in no time and very effortlessly, both at home and for the whole house.
It is a very useful tool for the home. I would prefer if it held more liters of water. The only negative is that during storage, I cannot hang the cord somewhere. Also, both the water hose and the cord are short, they definitely need an extension cord. I highly recommend it for those who are meticulous about cleanliness. It performs exceptionally well even on the toughest and stubborn stains.
If someone wants the machine for floor refreshing (e.g. using it every 2-3 days and not letting the floor accumulate tough dirt) or for disinfection, they will find their joy. It does exactly what the name "steam cleaner" implies. If they want to clean grout, they will have difficulty because it requires persistence. Maybe they need to first apply some cleaner, I don't know. The same goes for burnt grease. Ultimately, though, it gets the job done about 80%. As for salts, let's not even discuss it, they have misunderstood what steam does and what it doesn't. The main disadvantage is the short cord. You need a strategy for how to move around the space so that the plug doesn't end up in a spot where you can't step on it to unplug it, especially since the floor is quite wet.
The machine is good and reliable, I would say.
For household use, it is great.

In conclusion, it is a reliable machine. It wouldn't bother me if it was a bit cheaper, as I believe you pay more for the brand.
I have this specific steam cleaner for about 1.5 months now and I am very satisfied. I use it for mopping, dusting, windows, bathroom, tile grout, and even for cleaning pigeon droppings on the balcony! It definitely needs additional attachments, such as small brushes and replacement pads. It leaves a little water on the floor but dries quickly. I have easily and quickly cleaned sofas, armchairs, dining chairs, and tables with it. The major difference I have noticed compared to using a mop is that the amount of hair has significantly decreased because the special floor attachment is like a swiffer and removes the hair that the broom doesn't absorb.

After about 2 months, I decided to give my evaluation as well. I have a car wash and I do several organic ones per month. So, I use it for professional use and only for car use. For very dirty seats, I use a special product for seat scrubbing with a brush, then steam with a small brush to warm up and soften the dirt, and then vacuum with a vacuum cleaner for upholstery and of course they clean. But we are talking about dirty seats that cannot be removed with scrubbing and vacuuming. So, I am satisfied. Now, it cleans the plastics, but I prefer to use a brush and a product for detailing upholstery. For very dirty upholstery, I combine them and get the result I want.
Personally, for what I bought it for, it did its job. What I read in the description is true. Very fast heating, satisfactory steam pressure for the use I want, sufficient amount of water (it cleans one car and there is still water left). Now, the accessories are fine as long as you take care of them. I take care of them and I have no issues.

Relatively good steam cleaner, for household use. I would prefer more pressure and for the container to be closed because many times when pulling it to be moved, it overturns and spills its water. Also, it does not have a cable holder. Overall, its storage is not very convenient

Truly, an electric device that you think you had missed until now. It heats up immediately, you don't stop the operation at all, you just refill it. Very essential!!!! That's why I ended up with this model. It doesn't overheat either. You can do everything except for the kitchen oven!!! Without detergents, it shines the glass!!! Tiles, bathroom, kitchen countertops. Cabinets on the outside, refrigerator on the outside. Windows, doors, walls. The attachments help, so you don't need a ladder. I have bought cotton cloths from Karcher that fit on the smaller vacuum cleaner, and I pass them over with the attachment to collect the minimal water it leaves on the cabinets. On the doors, I have a simple cloth that I pass over afterwards. It's not necessary for the tiles. In general, it doesn't leave water. It's like using a squeezed wettex. It removes mold with its brushes. I pass it over the carpets and they shine!!! It doesn't remove stains from the carpets, but it doesn't advertise such a feature, nor did it interest me. The marbles also shine. Superior to mopping!!! On the windows, with the special attachment and a dry cloth to absorb the minimal water at the end of the window, it gives excellent results without any chemicals or scrubbing. I did a biological cleaning on the mattress. Perfect!!!
Tip: Put 1/3 good fabric softener and 2/3 water in a spray bottle. Spray it three or four times on the carpet. It will give a wonderful scent as you disinfect it afterwards, which will remain in the room.
The negatives are the initial cost. Extra attachments are needed. Calculate 70 to 80 euros more for all of these. It's necessary for the carpet, for the windows, for more effortless cleaning. Definitely, you will need two small and two large extra cloths to continue without waiting for them to be washed in between. And brushes, because with what it does, one wouldn't want to clean the kitchen. It has different ones. Also, there is a small brush with metal bristles that makes the kitchen grill and barbecue shine. The descaler has a low cost and a long lifespan.
I chose to invest in this one after a lot of research and not to buy something cheaper with more attachments, because Karcher has everything in spare parts and provides immediate service. You can find and order everything. You don't need to search for where to find what, with orders, and it has very good build quality.... Now it depends on how each person thinks about it and what they can afford.

I have had the steam cleaner for about 2 months and I am very satisfied. It cleans the whole house perfectly! I like that it has a large tank and quickly heats up the water, and you don't need to open the tank to refill it when it runs out. It cleans the salts in the bathroom, the countertops, the windows, and the mirrors perfectly. It freshens and softens the carpets by killing bacteria. It is perfect for homes with small children and pets. The floors dry faster than with regular mopping. The only thing I would like it to have in the set is another multipurpose cloth and the attachment for carpets.
Today I operated it for 3 hours for the first time! Water hardness based on EYDAP at 14, meaning 3 times for the indicator to flash below the reset according to the manual. It does its job perfectly to a satisfactory degree! It is definitely worth it, get it with closed eyes! I had bought it on sale at a very good price! Perhaps one downside for the more demanding is that the power cord does not gather inside but is outside and you have to coil it up.
For cleaning inside the house, it is more than sufficient. Very lightweight, long cable, very satisfactory steam, overall it has exactly what you want from such a product.
