I don't understand some people who say it doesn't produce heat, I imagine that when they hear electric blanket, they expect the blanket to emit oven-like heat, otherwise it cannot be explained.

It has 5 levels compared to most electric blankets that have 3. It has a nice texture and feels like there is another thin and soft mattress between your sheet and mattress. Note that levels 3, 4, and 5 are for quick heating and it heats up in 10 to 15 minutes. If you leave it on 5 after three hours, it will go down to 3!!! It is perfect and I believe it is worth it!!!

The more blankets we have thrown on us, the more heat we will feel, and the colder it is, the longer it will take for us to feel it. We always put the heated mattress pad on top of the duvet and then put a sheet on top. Don't make the mistake that many people do and lie directly on top because it doesn't trap the heat. It has good settings and a timer. Also, the cords it has to tie to the mattress are very small, which means you can either use the top or the bottom. Personally, I recommend using the top so that it doesn't come off its place. If you want it for someone older, know that its control is somewhat complicated.
