A sparkling text, with a flowing and juicy language thanks to its orality, and additionally a "system" of self-awareness that is quite solid and effective. Therefore, by reading the therapeutic proposals of Konstantinos Papageorgiou, one recognizes the function of the psychosomatic mechanism, the basic prerequisite and principle of wisdom, which is self-knowledge. The work achieves its purpose as it leads the reader with pleasant, gentle, and playful language to one of its cores, self-knowledge.
The basic principle of self-observation and self-awareness is proposed as a way of life and behavior by the wise men of the East. In the West, however - and this is a priority of the familiar culture that is inscribed in the psyche of the Western man - priorities are mainly defined by the community and the model is either the hero, as in ancient Greek culture, or the martyr, as in Christianity. Konstantinos Papageorgiou expresses the positive side of our individualistic era, in which the random nature of each person claims its justification as individual freedom - not, however, licentiousness. Are we ready to accept the long-term consequences of the dominance of individualism?
