With this project, the aim is to present in our country texts that have been prepared by the Commission Europeenne pour le efficacite de la Justice (CEPEJ) and the Consultative Council of European Judges (CCJE), which is part of the Council of Europe.

These texts, which have been translated by judges and prosecutors who are experts of the CEPEJ, concern the European proposal for the reorganization and efficiency of Justice. They examine the results produced by the judicial systems of the member states, using statistical data and evaluation tools, and identify the problems and areas that can be improved in order to promote the exchange of views on the functioning of the judicial systems. In addition, with this publication, the previously unknown work of the organizations of the Council of Europe, the European Commission for the Efficiency of Justice (CEPEJ) and the Consultative Council of European Judges (CCJE), is made known, which have as their main mission the processing and study of proposals for the improvement of the judicial systems of the member states. In this context, texts with statistical data on the performance of justice by the member states are presented, which are prepared by groups of judges. These texts form the basis for the shaping of public policies and best practices by the member states. Additionally, guidelines are provided for the creation of Judicial Charters with the aim of supporting access to a quality Judicial System, as well as for the management of judicial time. Guidelines for the organization and accessibility of judicial facilities are also included, and a satisfaction survey on the efficiency and quality of the judicial system is presented. With the above texts, innovative proposals are introduced for substantive reforms in justice, which are intended to be the catalyst for the start of a public debate in Greece, with the aim of adopting truly radical measures to improve the judicial system, both at an institutional level and in terms of establishing best practices.
