Edit 10/2020:
"It plays all the new games like Resident Evil 2&3 at 45-50fps, Blair Witch at 28-30fps, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Call of Duty WW2, Assassin's Creed Odyssey, the new Star Wars, etc. at a resolution of 1440*900 (on a computer with an FX 4300 processor and DDR3 1866 2x4GB RAM). Of course, it also runs GTA 5...
All of this without any crashes or stuttering. I haven't tried it on Red Dead Redemption, but on YouTube it shows that it runs at around 24fps."
Negatives:
Connections:
Unfortunately, it doesn't have VGA out (D-sub), which would be useful since many older monitors have it. However, with a DVI-D to VGA adapter (€10), it can still provide a signal through VGA.
PCI Express:
Unfortunately, it is gen3 x4 and not x16. Despite this, even on my PCI Express 2.0 motherboard, it performs "properly" and doesn't seem to significantly affect the performance. However, on very old systems with PCI Express 1.1, it may not perform as well (I haven't tested this).
Positives:
GDDR5: It is indeed GDDR5 and not DDR4, which some other manufacturers offer. So the performance is legitimate.
It has HDMI 2.0, so you can watch movies in 4K at 60Hz.
It works perfectly with DirectX 12 and supports it natively, not just as DX 11.2.
Performance:
Overall, in terms of performance, it is very close to the GTX 750 Ti that I have in another build. It doesn't cause unnecessary CPU usage and doesn't produce stuttering like AMD cards in a similar price range due to draw calls.
Power Consumption:
Using a power meter on a system with the G4560 processor that I tested it on, I measured around 15-20W less power consumption compared to what the computer would draw with the 750 Ti.
Temperatures:
I installed it in a mini ITX case. It operates at around 58-62°C. But it doesn't go higher than that.
It is also silent. Previously, I had a GT 740 low profile, and its temperature was 4°C lower.
Overclocking:
I easily reached +180MHz on the GPU and 400MHz on the memory (using Afterburner) without the temperature rising excessively (it reached 68°C with the fan at 80% and without needing to adjust the voltage).
Fan:
Even at 80%, it remains completely silent. The card is completely silent. Also, it doesn't collect much dust because the fins of the heatsink are not too dense, so it doesn't require frequent cleaning.
Graphics Card Memory:
The 2GB will be sufficient for all games at medium-high settings. For ultra settings in some games, you will need a more powerful graphics card (such as the 1650) with 4GB of memory. With the 2GB graphics card, there may be some usage of your system's RAM, but even 8GB-12GB of system RAM will be enough.
Build Quality-Design:
Of course, Gigabyte is truly reliable, and the design is very good. It also takes up little space in the case.
My Opinion:
Avoid models with passive cooling (without fans).
Lastly, be very careful with certain models from other manufacturers that have DDR4 memory and provide half the performance!
There are also GT 1030 models with a larger heatsink than this one, but it's not necessary because even with this specific card, the cooling performance is sufficient.
Overall, it is a good choice in terms of performance, reliability, and ideal for small form factor PCs and low power consumption.
