And so, I have created in my mind - as an ideal that I would like to touch - the image of a beautiful giraffe. Because it has four legs that touch the ground. It does not fly so it cannot escape. Sometimes it may seem to have some instability. But it stands firmly. It has the time to absorb the substances of the earth, the needs and the reality, whether it is mud or a flowery meadow, without flattening it with its weight. At the same time, it has its head held high in the sky. There it finds its food, it does not need to bend down. It sees far, it has vision, as we should have, and our food to be more spiritual, more immaterial. And, finally, somewhere in between, it also has a heart. Because architecture without a heart, I do not believe can exist.

"The Beautiful Giraffe..." is the traces of a noble passion in confession, in architecture, in contemplation. An important architect mixes his own workshop and professional experience.
