~~ Playstation Exclusive Games ~~
1. Final Fantasy XVI
We move on to the next console, Playstation exclusive games and first on our list is the brand new Final Fantasy XVI. The game takes about 36 hours to complete, while reaching 100% will require around 78 hours.
The game is beautiful, intense, with a wonderful story, stunning visuals, bosses that will leave you in awe, characters that you will love, and music with incredible compositions. It is an epic experience that stands proudly alongside other games in the same series.
2. The Last of Us
The first part of The Last of Us was re-released in 2022 fully redesigned from scratch for the PlayStation 5 console. If you have played the previous version, it's worth playing it again with the updated graphics. And if you haven't played it, get it.
It has rightfully won over 200 Game of the Year awards, as the story is there, combined with the fantastic music, the new graphics, and if you have a good TV, the game is on another level. It's not long, just 14 hours are enough to finish it, while to reach 100% it takes about 23 hours.
And if you can't wait for Part II to come out, the previous version is available dubbed in Greek and with subtitles.
3. Marvel's Spider-Man 2
And last on our list is the brand new Spider-Man 2 game. Tremendous gameplay, incredible graphics, the story feels like watching a movie, the sound is amazing. It takes about 16 hours to finish it and around 27 hours to reach 100%.
In case you haven't played the first one, it would be good since the stories are connected. You can also find it in Greek with subtitles. Finally, there is also Miles Morales which is between 1 and 2! And of course, all of them are amazing games!
Float, jump, and use the new Web Wings to travel to Marvel's New York, quickly switching from Peter Parker to Miles Morales to experience different stories and epic new powers, as the legendary villain Venom threatens to destroy their lives, their city, and those they love.
~~ Xbox Exclusive Games ~~
1. Starfield
Third category, we have reached the Xbox Exclusive games! And first on our list is the highly anticipated and brand new Starfield. Let me tell you. It takes about 21 hours to finish it. And 151 hours to reach 100%.
You create your character and embark on an epic journey across the universe. Countless places to explore, numerous characters to meet, you can do whatever you want, from becoming a space pirate to building your own spaceship.
2. Halo: The Master Chief Collection
What can you say about Halo. Since 2001 when the first one was released, we have grown up with them, no joke. Main story 6 games, along with the spinoffs there are a total of 12 and if you haven't played at least one Halo in your life, you can't consider yourself an Xbox console owner.
This collection includes the first 4 games of the series (from 1 to 4 that is). And if you want to know how many hours of gameplay there are, I will answer you in two words: A LOT. It also gives you the option to play them with improved graphics or in their original form.
For the finale, we can't fail to mention the, two years ago, latest release of the series, Halo Infinite. With a total of over 10 hours to complete the campaign, it makes it the longest in duration compared to the previous ones. And the cherry on top is the addition of the grappling hook. Play it, and you'll understand what I mean!
3. Forza Horizon 5
Third and last on our list is Forza Horizon 5. By far the best racing game currently on the market (in my opinion). It has incredible locations in South America, you can drive through mud and around a volcano, choosing from hundreds of the greatest cars on the planet.
We're talking about an endless game, you need at least 50 hours to finish it and over 175 hours to reach 100%. Amazing graphics, highly addictive you won't want to let it go, top-notch gameplay, car tuning, the game has it all. And of course, it's a 5 out of 5, if you want more you can play until retirement!
~~ Multiplatform games ~~
1. The Witcher 3
Last category and first on this list, is perhaps one of the best games of all time. Our protagonist Gerald, a professional monster hunter, rides his horse Roach and travels across the map. He fights with a sword, bow, axe, makes and drinks potions, casts 4 mini-spells (Sign), plays cards (Gwent), flirts with ethereal beings, contemplates, eats.
The game doesn't exist. First of all, to complete only the main story you need about 52 hours, while if you're crazy (and I'm with you), it will take you over 173. Secondly, it has 3 different main endings, and on top of that there are 36 different minor variations. The decisions you will be called to make in the game will determine the ending you will see when you finish it. The game d o e s n o t exist!
And if you're excited because you finished it and don't know what to do, play the other two. :)
2. Red Dead Redemption 2
We continue riding on the horse, but this time in the Wild West. The story takes place in 1899, at the end of an era, where sheriffs and bounty hunters relentlessly hunt down any remaining gangs of outlaws.
Our protagonist, Arthur Morgan, joined a gang at the age of 14 when he became an orphan. Naturally, he became a tough guy, and now he will be called to make the most difficult decision of his life.
The graphics are dreamlike, with a huge map to explore. The story is fantastic, the ending is shocking, and the atmosphere is amazing, transporting you to another era. It also has a long duration, as you need more than 50 hours for the main story and over 181 hours to complete it 100%. And if you play it and get hooked, you can of course get the first one as well.
3. Hades
I don't want to get emotional, but we've reached the end of our list and I'm a little excited! xD
So, my final suggestion is a rogue-like game, Hades. It will keep you company for about 23 hours until you finish it, and over 96 hours to reach 100% completion.
The story is simple, the son of Hades decides to leave the underworld and move to Olympus. With allies like Zeus, Athena, and Poseidon, you upgrade the character's abilities by choosing from dozens of different combinations. It's addictive, has beautiful graphics, music, story, and gameplay, and all combined like Captain Planet, guarantee that you won't get bored playing for even a second.
Closing, I will tell you one thing. Whichever game from the list you choose, I promise you it's a great game and you will enjoy it. I gave you several options, you just choose the one that is closest to your taste.
And to make it easier for you, I also include the consoles with their peripherals. If you ask me, also a good TV for gaming, and a sound system, will elevate the whole experience to levels you never imagined could exist.
So give it your all and have fun! And as Duke once said:
"It's time to kick *ss and chew bubble gum...and I'm all outta gum."
